The Villa Gillet was founded in 1987. A non-profit organisation unlike any others, it is devoted to all manners of thought and ideas. It welcomes in Lyon fiction and non-fiction writers, artists and scholars from over the world to ponder issues relevant to our ever shiflting world. The association is subsidised by the Région Rhône-Alpes, the city of Lyon and the Regional Direction of Cultural Affairs and benefits from the aid of the Centre National du Livre and the Cultural Services of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
